Microbiology Lab Arizona DHIA was established by dairymen for dairymen. The Association recognizes the need for quality, flexibility, and options with milk sample procurement and dairy lab services. We take a multidisciplinary approach to the services we provide. Our strategy creates flexibility that complements any dairy management program. There are programs available with free sample vials, customized labels, and pick-up service. Dairy practitioners play an important role in utilizing our services to suit the dairys specific needs. Individual Cow Cultures ![]() The Arizona DHIA Microbiology lab specializes in processing individual cow cultures. Identifying the causative organism of mastitis offers considerable savings by containing pathogens. The cost of an individual cow sample is available at a very competitive price. Volume discounts are also available. Johnes Testing The Micro lab processes serum samples for Johnes disease. The lab is accredited with the USDA, Chief Diagnostic Bacteriology Lab and is Arizona State Vet approved. ALL samples are processed at a discounted rate. A 72 hour turn-around time is guaranteed with Johnes results. Special Sample Examination We also examine water, teat dip, dairy towels, and swab samples for Salmonella spp. and other potentially harmful pathogens. ![]() On Farm Mastitis Culturing Program We offer culturing supplies for an on-farm culturing program.
